Sells Brothers Circus Bare Back Equestrian Postcard




During the late 1800s, the Sells Brothers Circus was one of the largest, most successful shows of its kind in the country - second only in size to the Ringling Brothers. I was drawn to this particular postcard featuring Polly Lee because she was the "premiere equestrian in the world" who mastered the art of "bare back riding". the postcard is 8 inches tall by 6 inches wide. Hallmark 10PPC 550-1 mark on back. Please note that there are 2 tiny pin marks on and above the "L" in Sells.
